TIUCL designed, built, tested, completed the initial dataload from brochure PDF's under an extremely arduous schedule. All the site searches and inventory are controlled from a bespoke Content Management System (CMS) which also allows acces to
customer survey results and control of emergency announcements and affiliate netoworks. Extra modules were added after initial production to allow control and monitoring of affiliation agreements with various
well known affiliate networks such as travelsupermarket.com. These include web services to enable affiliates to upload the
main CMS brochure type content for use on their intro sites. |

TIUCL worked in conjunction with DAE's existing back office development team from Dynamic Data Design (DDD) to produce a highly functional system that took a great load off the DAE Call Centre staff, improved response times, took automated payments via a new WorldPay interface and improved the site's manageability with a content management system. TIUCL oversaw the implementation of the new system and arranged hosting with a third party provider. DAE's system has over 20,000 members, operates 24hrs a day and is based on SQL Server 2000. In 2005 TIUCL was contactedy by Dial An Exchanges Australian partners to convert their
web site into a fully interactive booking engine and link all four DAE sites world wide.
This work was completed and handed back to their local Australian developers for ongoing
maintenance and development. This work brought
huge financial benefits to all the DAE companies as their users can now search and book
in real time using a multitude of payment gateways integrated by TIUCL. |

The site is constructed to W3C XHTML1.0 and CSS2 standards and makes use of Flash and some excellent photography. Unlike most of our sites, a CMS was not a requirement so it is purely a static site. Search engine crawlability was a major requirement which has been catered for by the
use of W3C standards in it's construction together with careful copy writing and
meta data generation. |

"It’s full of stars" Was inspired by the sequel to Space Odessey 2001 when Dave's last
message was "My God, it's full of stars". This piece is an extract from the original which
runs for a total of 30 minutes and was written as an installation piece for the Irish
artist Joan O’Hanahan. To play, click on the graphic (1.4MB).
